Glimpse

Towers

For most of the day I sit in an office that is deep in the bowels of a former military commissary, far from any exterior windows. Today at 1:45pm I realized I hadn't eaten lunch or seen sunlight since getting to work around 9am. I darted out to get a little sunshine on my face and to run a couple of errands. I'm lucky that stepping out of the office for a moment can include views like this one. When I took this picture I was surrounded by tourists who had come a long way to see this vista that I saw on my lunch break. Am I rubbing it in? I hope not. My point isn't to brag, but to create a record for myself of what someday will be a cool, memorable, and irreplaceable time in my life.

And also to try to get a few interesting photos, maybe even one interesting photo, of one of the world's most heavily photographed landmarks.

OK, maybe I want to rub it in, just a teensy little bit.

The one between the trees is the best of them all, followed closely by 'x', 'y', @ 'z'!

Home for Thanksgiving?

Love you. Grandpa
