Crossing over

The Bridge

Day 1: 9 slow miles. A beautiful day. And a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge I took a couple of weeks ago, as the fog streamed into the Bay at sunset.

It's NaBloPoMo time again, and I've participated by blogging every day in November for every year since the very beginning. Why stop now? I have a great new job at a wonderful location very close to the Golden Gate Bridge, so let's see if I can share a daily or almost-daily photo of the Bridge without boring everyone to death. Should be a good challenge. I reserve the right to extend the theme to other bridges or bridge-like objects. Especially since a certain bridge has been in the news a lot lately.

And I will be attempting to run every day this month. Last year I did the Slowtwitch 100 Runs in 100 Days challenge, and I managed to run 43 days in a row before the flu took me out. (I ended up doing 80 runs in 100 days, which is not bad, not bad at all.) In 2007, I ran every day in November, and I even squeezed in a run during an international airport layover. Assuming I don't hurt myself or get sick, this is a fun-in-a-weird-way way to kick-start my running fitness. With no big races on the calendar to train for, I get lazy.

Anyone want to join me with a run (or other workout) every day this month? I promise you won't regret it.
