Ten years too late
Observations on our wedding photos, which I am looking at for what is technically the first time:- Dave looks young.
- I also look young, but mostly just round-faced.
- Our parents look young.
- We were all drunk. Well, most of us. Ahem.
- Oh yeah, it was windy, and my silly veil was all over the place during the photos.
- All those speeches our friends and family lovingly crafted? Don't remember a word of them.
- My mom and my sister were both born to hold a microphone. Where did I come from?
- Grandpa looks great in a kilt. Of course, we've always known this.
- 1997 was, like, an eternity ago.
I sent all the negatives to Scan Cafe to get them digitized since we never really got prints of our wedding photos -- never looked at them except in tiny illegible index prints. The link to the proofs arrived today, and it will be several more weeks before the DVD arrives. If you're lucky I will spare you from having to look at the photos. Honestly, I got them scanned for my mother-in-law's sake. The poor woman has had to wait 10-plus years to see her son's wedding photos.

I will speak for myself, but I was surely drunk.
