Anything for a fix
Foods I ate yesterday and today in an effort to curb a massive sugar craving:
- Graham crackers.
- Semisweet chocolate chips.
- Kozy Shack chocolate pudding.
- Homemade bread-and-butter pickles.
- Homemade orange marmalade (straight from the jar).
- Dried cranberries.
- Mango tea with sugar.
Those are things I typically eat to satisfy a standard day's sugar craving (though not typically all in one day). The following, however, are not typical:
- Organic teriyaki turkey jerky. It's like candy.
- No-Pudge Brownie mix.
- Clif Twist, or whatever their new kids' fruit-based product is called -- yummy!
- Table knife covered in peanut butter (did not dunk in honey, although I was tempted).
- Sample of ginger-almond granola at Trader Joe's. Cracklike.
The amazing thing is that I logged all these things in my food tracker. Every single one. It sure isn't pretty when you write it all down. All told, though, I think all this crap is better than a giant slice of cheesecake.

Oh, those moments are the worst. You eat out of every container in the house, but nothing really hits the spot.
I too ate homemade bread-and-butter pickles yesterday (DELICIOUS!), and a spoonful of peanut butter straight from the jar. I also inhaled a whole batch of popcorn by myself. Yeah, not pretty. Not pretty at all. Oh well, tonight I will do better. And at least not make popcorn again. :)
Has anyone else noticed those little girls in green selling crack, aka. Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies? I am averaging about half a box a night. Oh, why do I buy such things?
By the way, DUDE, when I looked at the cheesecake I thought that was for the entire cake. That is just one slice!
