Autoharp

Autoharp at the Folk Music Center

My kindergarten teacher played Autoharp when she accompanied our singing in morning assembly. Seeing an Autoharp makes me feel strangely contented; I guess it reminds me of those carefree days singing Kumbaya to the thrums of an out-of-tune zither. I think the slow shutter speed and resulting blur in this photo make the instrument look a bit like it's humming.

I took a few more photos at the music store where I saw this.

I saw my kindergarten teacher the same day I took this photo, completely by chance.

i wish i could run into my kindergarten teacher again. miss newington was the best. she was young compared with other teachers & had long, pretty hair. learning in her class was not work at all, as she knew how to make it fun. she loved all of us in the class. the feeling was mutual. [a side note: i was lucky enough to have miss newington again in 3rd grade. we got to race lobsters.]
